Enrollment Analysis: African American students comprised 0.2% of Wall ISD schools' student body in 2021-22 school year

There were two African American students enrolled in Wall ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Wall ISD schools welcomed 1,290 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, African American students comprised 0.2% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Wall ISD roughly covers schools within Tom Green County and has a main office in Wall.

Among the six schools in Wall ISD schools, Wall Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of African American students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of one student.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
