There were 759 students enrolled in Mason ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 6% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 54.7% of them were boys, and 45.3% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 60.6% of the Mason ISD total enrollment.

Mason ISD roughly covers schools within Mason County with its main office in Mason.

Among the three schools in Mason ISD, Mason Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 322 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
