25 gifted and talented students were taught in Coke County schools in the 2020-2021 school year

Test 05

Coke County schools enrolled 25 students who were identified as being gifted and talented during the 2020-2021 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

This is unchanged from the previous school year.

Of the 492 students enrolled in Coke County schools, 5.1% of them were considered to be gifted and talented.

Coke County enrolled the 32nd lowest number of gifted and talented students among Texas counties.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
