City of San Angelo issued the following announcement on Dec. 29.
With cold weather expected in the coming nights, the Out of the Cold (OTC) program will be activated when the temperature is expected to dip to 35 degrees or lower by 5 a.m. as forecast by the Weather Channel for the San Angelo area. The forecast is examined at 4 p.m. to decide if an OTC night will be activated. If an OTC night is declared, interested participants can meet at the Salvation Army Church, 34 W. 3rd St (parking lot entrance) between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. On weekends or holidays, SAPD is authorized to initiate intake.
