Enrollment at Grape Creek ISD schools increased by 3.4% compared to previous school year

There were 1,172 students enrolled in Grape Creek ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3.4% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 55.1% of them were boys, and 44.9% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Grape Creek ISD students was white, accounting for 49.6% of the student population.

Grape Creek ISD roughly covers schools within Tom Green County with its main office in San Angelo.

Among the six schools in Grape Creek ISD, Grape Creek Primary School recorded the highest enrollment of 316 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
