Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 65.3% of Eden CISD schools' student body in 2021-22 school year

There were 145 Hispanic students enrolled in Eden CISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 1.4% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Eden CISD schools welcomed 222 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 65.3% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Eden CISD roughly covers schools within Concho County and has a main office in Eden.

Among the three schools in Eden CISD schools, Eden CISD recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 142 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
