On Saturday, May 17, former Water Valley High School standout Colby Lafayette’s current collegiate team the Delta State Statesmen won 7-16 against the Florida Southern Moccasins in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.

The game took place at Henley Field at 2 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Florida Southern Moccasins in the tournament.

The Delta State Statesmen’s next game will take place on Saturday, May 17 at 2 p.m. at Henley Field.
